Growing up on the bountiful prairies of Manitoba, I was blessed with a great home and many opportunities.  My passion for sports drew me to Vancouver Island where my beautiful wife Abigail, who led me to Jesus.  I am now happy to call Vancouver Island my home.

In my spare time I love to enjoy the scenery of the Island through hiking, camping, and spending the hot summer days by water.  After playing high level baseball and hockey, I enjoy playing all sports at any level.  After spending many summers keeping the prestigious Victoria Golf Course, golf is a newly found challenge for me.  Spending time with family and friends is another highlight, watching the little ones grow and enjoying the many humorous things they say and do!!

After spending my first two years of university at Malaspina, I moved to Victoria where I received my Bachelor of Education degree at UVIC, specializing in Physical Education and Mathematics.
We then set out for a journey my wife and I will never forget!  Moving to China for a year while I taught at a BC offshore school, we got to experience the culture of Asia.  Our travels led us to many cities in China along with other countries like Philippines, Borneo, Malaysia and Thailand.  What a diverse world God has created!

We are very excited to move back to the Island, and to the beautiful community of Courtenay and become a part of the CVCS team.  I am excited to join a developing school, and strengthening the relationships of the people around me.  Delivering a Christian education blends my passion for God and my passion for education, and I am excited.  I look forward to being a piece of the puzzle that will strive make Jesus an integral part of everyday education.
