I have been teaching at Comox Valley Christian School since September 2005. I started by team teaching with Joy Tansky in the grade 4/5 classroom. I then moved into the K/1 position. What a change that was! I then realized I loved teaching early primary children. I was born in Dawson Creek however, my family moved down to the Mainland and then the Island. I have since discovered that I enjoy the ocean and mountains too much to move away. I hope to stay on the Island for many years to come. The majority of my education was in the public school system including university. I received my B. Ed degree from the University of Victoria. What I love the most about teaching in a Christian school is the ability to openly share my faith with my students. Even being able to have my Bible laying on my desk without a second thought is so freeing. I have an enjoyed my time at CVCS. |
